Dividing work - Bestie

At the beginning, my team and I assigned roles to each member. Since Sanders and I were the main developers, we were responsible for creating the UXY website. However, developing the site depended on the work of other teammates, so we encountered some downtime. Fortunately, I found ways to contribute during this period, such as helping Gessa troubleshoot issues he faced while exporting and 3D printing the UXY logo.

I also worked on logo iterations to gain more experience with vector graphics in AI and assisted with the business card design.

Since the UXY sprint didn’t go as smoothly as planned, we decided that everyone would contribute equally across all three departments: Research, Design, and Development. For the research phase, we created a lotus diagram to help organize our ideas.

Afterward, we divided into three groups of 2-3 people. Gessa and I were assigned to conduct research and later collaborate on conceptualizing our ideas. We focused on upcycling and thrifting, with me researching upcycling and him covering thrifting. Although our initial task was to develop a video concept, I felt that interactive games would be more engaging and appealing for teaching teenagers.

Unfortunately, Gessa got sick, but I was able to complete the conceptualization of our idea, Upcycling with Besties, on my own. The concept received approval from both the client and our teachers.
